The Run

Are regular running shoes okay? Yes. However, trail running shoes will provide more traction. We strongly recommend warm socks!
What is the route like? The 2.25 miles combine the Eastern Promenade walking path with roads in the East End (Turnaround on the Promenade is at Kiley Field).
Will I be running on snow or ice? Maybe. While some parts of the route may be clear, others may have some snow cover or a base of ice. Please be careful on those sections and walk if necessary.
What if there is too much snow on the running path? A game time decision will be made on running conditions. If the path is too snowy or treacherous, the route will be changed to roads.
Will I be running where there are cars? Part of the run on Eastern Promenade is in the street. Please be wary of parked and moving vehicles. Volunteers will be stationed around the course.
Will the route be marked? Yes! You will always know where to go.
How fast should I run the two miles? As fast as humanly possible to maximize your workout and support your teammate!
What should I wear? Layers based on temperature. A technical base layer, hat, gloves, and warm socks are strongly recommended.
