  • Top 3 Clydesdales (male, 190 to 210 lbs and male, 211+lbs) and Fillies (female, 140 to 160 lbs and female, 160+ lbs)
  • Youngest and oldest finisher

A $100 cash prize will be given for new male and female open and masters course records.

in conjunction with Portland's outdoor WinteRush Festival. A great
training goal for mid-winter, the PolarBear 5k offers athletes the
choice of purchasing a high-quality race t-shirt. This keeps the entry
fee low, while offering a great custom shirt to athletes who want one.

Brief Description

The Irish Road Rover 5K benefits Habitat for Humanity of
Greater Portland. With your help, "The Rover" has been able to donate
thousands of dollars to help provide affordable housing in the Greater
Portland area.

Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up

THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
You can register on Saturday, March 3rd from 10-3 at the Maine Running
Company (563 Forest Avenue) if there are entries left. You can also
pick up your packet there during this time. Packet pickup (ONLY) will
also be available from 9:30am to 10:45am at the Brian Boru' Pub.
Please only pick up your chip if you fully intend on running the race.

Additional Information

The race begins at the corner of Fore
and Center St. in the Old Port. Runners will go North on Fore St., up
Munjoy Hill and back down, take a right on India St. and a left on
Middle St., finishing near the
Civic Center.

The race benefits Habitat for Humanity.
